About

Located in San Diego, California, Patine's mission is to serve as a neighborhood hub for food and communal 3rd space, offering a carefully curated selection of new, used, and imported cookbooks alongside thoughtfully sourced provisions. We exist to create a welcoming, vibrant space where food lovers can gather, learn through hands-on cooking classes, engage with authors and makers, and connect through intimate events. Designed as a neighborhood gathering place, guests can browse and read on-site, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, pick up weekly baked goods or CSA shares, and participate in programming such as cooking classes, author talks, tastings, and food-focused discussions.

Building on the established brand and audience of Dining With Court, Patine aims to serve both everyday neighborhood needs—walkable provisions, pantry items, and baked goods—while providing deeper cultural value through education, events, and curated experiences.

The goal is to create a welcoming, enduring third space that sits between home and restaurant: supporting local food systems, fostering learning and creativity, and strengthening community through the rituals of cooking, eating, and gathering.
